Deidre Alejo... acquired her interest in Gemology after moving to Hong Kong from Japan in 1987. She undertook two years of study under the British Gemmological Association program, graduating and passing with distinction in 1990 and awarded the certification, Fellow Gemmological Association (F.G.A.) of Great Britain and Hong Kong.
Asia, and 9 years in Tokyo. Her study of Ikebana in Japan and achieving fluency in the Japanese language has taught her the importance of texture, proportion and color for harmonious designs combining gemstones and precious metals. She established D'ALEJO in 1990 to bring Hong Kong the level of service and design-sense so familiar to those who know Japan. Celso Alejo... is the other half of the D'ALEJO business. An engineering graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Celso brings over 21 years management experience in Asia working with multinational corporations and their senior executives.
